More details are slipping out about the new Disney Channel series "J.O.N.A.S," starring the Jonas Brothers, which is getting ready to start production this month.
The show has been tweaked into a single-camera comedy about three youths who are students by day and rock stars after the bell rings.
It will be set in New Jersey, although it will be shot in Los Angeles. The brothers will live in an old firehouse converted into a home, meaning they'll have a firepole to go floor to floor. The house will have vending machines packed with healthy snacks.
The show in some ways will mirror the hectic pace and frenzy of the brothers' real lives. Nicole Anderson has been cast as their No. 1 fan at school, and when she's around, something offbeat happens. John Ducey will play the boys' dad. The role of the mom has not been cast.
A couple of story lines, to whet Jonas fans' appetites: In one, Joe falls for a girl who plays cello in the school orchestra and won't date a rock star. So he joins the orchestra.
In another, all three have a crush on a pizza delivery girl, so they keep ordering pizzas over and over.
